What are the external dimensions of a metal building?

Metal buildings, including carports, are usually measured using the Width x Length x Height, such as 24’x 25’x9’. The length measurement often ends in an odd number due to the metal roof’s overhang on each end. This means that the roof length is actually one foot longer than the base rail length. To understand and measure the width of a metal building, just measure from one outer edge of the base rail to the opposite outer edge.
